Swix PS7 Violet -2°C/-8°C Ski Wax - 180g
Formulated for standard sub-freezing winter conditions, this non-fluorinated Pro Standard hydrocarbon glide wax provides dependable performance in temperatures ranging from -2°C to -8°C (28°F to 18°F). Its balanced mid-range hardness profile strikes an ideal equilibrium between melt ease during application and physical resistance against base abrasion on mixed snow structures. Packaged in an economical 180g bulk bar, it functions as an everyday training glider, a versatile base preparation wax, or an effective storage coating.
Designed for hot-wax application using a dedicated waxing iron set to a recommended temperature of 140°C (284°F), the solid block saturates deeply into sintered base structures for long-lasting performance. An even iron pass rate of 8 to 10 seconds per ski ensures uniform thermal distribution without subjecting core materials to heat stress. Reheating the wax after an initial ten-minute cooling period enhances chemical bonding to significantly increase long-distance wear resistance on the snow.
