SKI SERVICES
Boot Fitting Service
At Swiss Sports Haus, our team brings more than 40 years of combined boot fitting experience to ensure you get the most out of every day on the mountain. Ski boots are the most critical connection between you and your skis, no matter how advanced your skill level. A great first day, and a great 1000th day, start with the right fit.
A proper boot fitting goes far beyond basic comfort. It begins with a detailed assessment of your foot shape, flexibility, and skiing goals to determine the ideal shell size and shape. From there, our expert fitters use precise shell and liner modification techniques, such as heat moulding, punching, and grinding to relieve pressure points, eliminate hotspots, and create space exactly where it’s needed for a truly customized fit. The result is improved energy transfer, better edge control, and greater confidence in all conditions.
We believe everyone should be in the best fit possible, which is why we do not charge for bootfitting services when you purchase a boot from us. We guarantee the fit of the boot – meaning all future tweaks to the fit are complimentary – giving you the reassurance that your boots will remain comfortable for years to come.
We primarily book adult bootfitting by appointment to ensure the highest standard of attention to detail. These appointments are typically 1-2 hours long. During our busy season, we only take appointments for new adult boots and adjustments for boots purchased from our store. Outside of our busy season, we will take appointments for boots purchased outside of our store and cost will be quoted in person.
Ski Service
At Swiss Sports Haus, our full-service ski shop is built around one goal: keeping your equipment performing safely and consistently all season long. Below is a detailed breakdown of what each service includes and why it matters.
Adult Ski Tune – $60 Our comprehensive tune is designed for everyday skiers. This service typically includes base repair for minor imperfections, base grind to ensure the ski is flat and uniform, edge sharpening and beveling, and a fresh hot wax. |
Race Ski Tune – $60 Built for performance-focused skiers and racers who demand precision. This tune emphasizes exact edge angles, refined base structure, and meticulous finishing for maximum speed and control. Ideal for those who require optimal edge hold and acceleration on firm snow. |
Junior Ski Tune (140cm and under) – $40 A full tune tailored to youth skis. Growing skiers benefit from properly maintained edges and wax just as much as adults. This service keeps junior equipment safe, responsive, and fun to ski. |
Wax – $25 A professional hot wax application to enhance glide and protect the base. Regular waxing reduces friction, prevents base drying, and improves overall efficiency on snow. |
Core Shot Repair – $20+ Repairs for deeper gouges that penetrate the base material. Addressing core shots quickly prevents moisture intrusion and long-term structural damage, extending the life of your skis. |
Binding Mount/Remount – $60 Precision binding installation using manufacturer-recommended specifications. Proper mounting ensures correct stance alignment and safe performance. |
Binding Adjustment – $20 DIN setting adjustments and safety checks to ensure proper release and retention. Correct adjustment is essential for injury prevention and overall confidence on the mountain. |
Edge Sharpening Only – $35 Targeted edge work for skiers who need improved grip without a full tune. Restores bite on hardpack and icy terrain, enhancing control and carving performance. |
