Swix PS5 Turquoise -10°C/-18°C Ski Wax - 180g
Formulated as the hardest wax in the Pro Standard line, this non-fluorinated hydrocarbon glide wax excels in severe arctic conditions with temperatures ranging from -10°C to -18°C (14°F to 0°F). Its high-density polymer composition provides exceptional durability and dry friction resistance against sharp, abrasive cold snow crystals, whether natural, old, or man-made. Engineered as an economical bulk block for high-frequency tuners, it functions effectively as an everyday cold-weather training wax, a protective base prep layer, or a durable race foundation.
Designed for hot-wax application using a dedicated waxing iron set to a recommended temperature of 150°C (302°F), the formula maintains an accessible melt viscosity despite its extreme hardness. A steady iron pass rate of 8 to 10 seconds per ski allows the wax to saturate deeply into sintered bases without causing thermal damage to core materials. Reheating the wax after an initial ten-minute cooling period enhances chemical bonding to maximize long-distance wear resistance on aggressive snowpack.
