Swix HS7 Violet -2°C/-8°C Ski Wax - 60g
Formulated for standard sub-freezing winter conditions, this high-speed fluor-free hydrocarbon glide wax delivers optimal speed and durability in temperatures ranging from -2°C to -8°C (28°F to 18°F). The mid-range hardness profile strikes an ideal balance between melt ease during application and physical resistance against base abrasion on mixed snow structures. Engineered for versatility, it operates effectively as a standalone race wax, a primary training glider, or a base preparation layer for fluor-free topcoat powders and liquids.
Designed for hot-wax application using a dedicated waxing iron set to a recommended temperature of 150°C (302°F), the solid block distributes evenly across sintered base structures. A uniform pass rate of 8 to 10 seconds per ski ensures deep thermal penetration into base pores without overheating the core materials. Reheating the wax after an initial ten-minute cooling period enhances chemical bonding to significantly increase long-distance wear resistance on the snow.
