Swix HS7 Violet -2°C/-8°C Ski Wax - 180g
Formulated for standard sub-freezing winter conditions, this high-speed fluor-free hydrocarbon glide wax delivers optimal speed and durability in temperatures ranging from -2°C to -8°C (28°F to 18°F). Its balanced mid-range hardness offers excelente melting characteristics while providing reliable physical resistance against base abrasion on mixed snow structures. Engineered as an economical bulk size for high-frequency users, it functions as a standalone race wax, an everyday training glider, or a protective base preparation layer for liquid topcoats.
Designed for hot-wax application using a dedicated waxing iron set to 150°C (302°F), the solid block saturates deeply into sintered bases for long-lasting performance. An even iron pass rate of 8 to 10 seconds per ski ensures uniform thermal distribution without thermal stress to core materials. Allowing the wax to cool completely and reheating it after ten minutes enhances chemical bonding to significantly increase wear resistance during extended sessions.
