Swix HS6 Blue Ski Wax -6°C/-12°C - 60g
Formulated for cold weather performance, this high-speed fluor-free hydrocarbon glide wax delivers superior glide characteristics in temperatures ranging from -6°C to -12°C (21°F to 10°F). Its dense, durable chemical structure offers exceptional resistance to base abrasion from transformed, artificial, and coarse natural snow pack. Engineered for versatile application, it functions effectively as a standalone race wax, a high-durability training wax, or a protective base prep layer for colder topcoats.
Designed for hot-wax application using a dedicated waxing iron set to a recommended temperature of 155°C (311°F), the wax penetrates deeply into the sintered base structure to ensure long-lasting saturation. Its optimized melt viscosity allows for smooth, uniform distribution across alpine, nordic, and snowboard bases during iron passes. Once cooled and scraped, the wax hardens to create a low-friction surface that minimizes drag and optimizes speed across cold snow crystals.
