The down packs are welded to minimize cold spots and retain warmth, and the amount of down varies throughout the jacket to reduce characteristic down bulkiness. It has a rich metallic style EXCELLA zipper, the upper part of which docks under a tab featuring a Descente logo. Faux fur inside the hood adds an elegant touch and warmth around the collar, which also has a new removable inner boa both for warmth and easy laundering. The back of the jacket has the BREATHING SYSTEM and the water-repellent ribbed cuffshave a touch of lamé.
